• Step 1: Press the switch and the yellow light glows that turns to blue and records videos and audio when it's on. The blue light glows on during kinescoping
• Step 2: Press the switch again, it will begin to save the data and then turn off, at this time, the light turns to yellow and reflects that the Pen DVR is at sleeping status (that means do not kinescope or shut it down)
• Step 3: If there's a need to kinescope again, press the switch once more, then one can come back to kinescope, during this time, the light will turn back to blue again
• Step 4: Hold down the switch for about 5 seconds, that turns the power switch off, after shutting down the Pen DVR, there is no guide light
• Step 5: Once the battery is charged, the light stops glittering and the yellow light stays on, which means that battery is fully charged
• Step 6: It turns off itself once the battery has exhausted. It even saves the kinescoped files before automatically shutting down
