I work in the sales department of a company and lost my Mobile once and it was a pain to get all the contacts once again even though I had stored it in my computer. The software was not compatible with my new handset and zillions of issues like that. So I figured out that paying some money and buying a SIM card reader would be a good investment and my experience with this card reader is extremely positive.
ZeroxChip SIM card Reader and Copier is easy to use and it stores 1000 contacts in 4 files of 250 contacts each. I tried it with all the SIM cards of my family and a few neighbors (that makes 3 different mobile operators) - everything went fine.
The case is made of a durable material, the matte surface feels comfortable in the hand and this is a well built device. The plugged in SIM card stays firmly inside the reader, it won't pop out by accident; you have to extract it by sliding a lever and the best thing is that you dont need a computer to operate this.
I'd like to warn other readers about a special case. Sometimes SIM Manager will read the card - but it is empty; that happens because the phone keeps the contacts and SMS in its own memory, rather than on the SIM card (so it really is empty).
To ensure there are no surprises, verify your phone's settings. An easy way to figure out if that's your case or not - take the SIM out and plug it into a different phone - if the contacts are there, it means they are on the SIM (otherwise, they are in the phone's internal memory).
